Savior is an experimental videogame, the first to be developed for wide independent release out of changing cultural and political landscape of Cuba. With a unique story about metaphysics and deconstruction of the game world, a gothic art style and an existential tone, Savior challenges cultural expectations, as well as formal understanding of games.

This is the inaugural exhibition for the new brick and mortar location of VGA Gallery at 2418 W Bloomingdale Ave #102. VGA Gallery is Chicago's first permanent public art gallery dedicated to videogames and related new media art.

VGA Gallery is generously supported by The MacArthur Funds for Arts and Culture at The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation, a CityArts Grant from the City of Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs & Special Events, the Illinois Arts Council Agency, individuals and private and corporate foundations.
