One of the reasons VGA Gallery was founded was because of a game that debuted in 2011 called Superbrothers' Sword & Sworcery EP. During these years, gallery Co-Directors Jonathan Kinkley and Chaz Evans would share beers and talk about games new and old into the night but none captured the imagination so feverishly and packed such an experimental, conceptual and artistic wallop quite like Sword & Sworcery. Now on the day of VGA's launch, it gives us unique and breathless pleasure to unveil three prints by Superbrothers in all their pixellated glory. We've tried to duplicate the same perfection and love that went into the making of this game in print form by working with Chicago's highly regarded DOCUMENT printing and exhibition space; the result is an impeccable print quality on the finest, museum-quality archival paper. Learn more and enjoy each of the prints here, here, and here (some game footage is below as well). It's especially meaningful to VGA Gallery that they will be on view to the public for our inaugural exhibition, opening tonight!
